Assistant of the Consular Section

Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan – Mexico City

The Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Mexico City is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Assistant of the Consular Section.

A. Position

One (1) position: Assistant of the Consular and administration section:

B. Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and consular support to the Consular Section.
  • Assist with documentation, appointments, consular inquiries, and public services.
  • Draft, translate, and review documents in Arabic and Spanish (Note verbal and official cables).
  • Coordinate with visitors, applicants, and local authorities and provide accurate information.
  • Support the consular team in daily operations and special assignments.
  • Maintain proper records, confidentiality, and professional workflow.
  • Contribute to organizing consular-related activities, visits, or events as required.
  • Responsible for financial and administrative operations.

C.  Requirements

  • Jordanian nationality (mandatory).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (International Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, Law, Languages, or related fields preferred).
  • Fluent in Arabic and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Proof of Spanish language proficiency, such as DELE, B1 or similar recognized tests.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in administrative, consular, or customer-service work.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office software.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain discretion, and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • High level of responsibility, reliability, and adaptability.
  • In good physical and mental health.
  • Age between 25–40 (preferred).
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.

  • Strong customer-service approach and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.

E. Salary

The salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
